Deanna Nowell is an award-winning documentary, television, promo and feature film editor with eighteen years experience in the television/film industry. She has successfully edited projects for SyFy Network, CNN, Lightfoot Films, Turner Broadcasting, BET Networks, BobbCat Films, Gospel Music Channel (UPtv), Converse, Census 2010, Symmetry Entertainment and Rainforest Films.
Some of Nowell’s credits include Inside the NBA (TNT), Alpha Man: the Brotherhood of MLK (Rainforest Films/BET Networks) Movie & Makeover (TBS), Cheating The Stillness: The World Of Julia Peterkin (Lightfoot Films), The Battle (BobbCat Films/ESPNU), Echo at 11 Oak Drive (Symmetry Entertainment) and the Sony/Screen Gem Studio Film, Three Can Play That Game. Highly respected and sought after in the television and film industry, Nowell received the Pinnacle Award from the Black Women Film Network for her achievements in editing, an award from the prestigious New York Film Festival for “Best Editing” as well as recognition and honors from The National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences.
